Why Folds of Honor
We looked at dozens of military-family nonprofits before picking one. Folds of Honor has given over 60,000+ scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled service members since 2007. Their overhead is low, their accounting is transparent, and their mission is specific: education for the dependents left behind.
Every PatriotPortraits sale pledges 5% of gross revenue to Folds of Honor. We calculate this monthly from Stripe and transfer quarterly. The counter above is pulled directly from Stripe — when you see the number, that's the actual number.
Why not a higher pledge?
At our current prices ($3.99–$39.99) and margins, 5% is honest and sustainable. Anything higher would require raising prices or cutting corners — we'd rather keep the pledge real than inflate a marketing number.
How to verify
Quarterly donation receipts from Folds of Honor will be posted here. If we ever stop pledging or change the partner, we'll say so clearly on this page — not bury it in an update.
